Saturn into Pisces: Dissolving Our Own Rigidity

We have spent the last six years with Saturn in his home signs as he transited through both Capricorn and Aquarius. During this time we got better at minding the structures, respecting and placing boundaries, being more disciplined and taking responsibility. We learned to work with them to enhance our lives instead of against them. Pluto also showed us where to blow some of these out and I’m sure he’s not done but more on that later this month.

Today the crystallized edges of Saturn which we’ve come to rely upon are dissolving. It’s kind of like suddenly the training wheels came off and we are now allowed to travel as far as we want. We will no longer be contained.

It is funny how we desperately crave our ultimate freedom until the gate is lifted and there are no longer limits. It can suddenly feel a bit scary but exciting at the same time. Remember we have prepared for this. We’ve spent the last six years learning new tools. Now we really get to test what we’ve learned.

Think of what a good yoga practice does, not only for our stiff joints and flexibility, but also  for our physical, mental and spiritual abilities. Similarly this next stage is about learning to mesh structures that help us maintain focus with freedom of flow. We must be changeable but not lax. Saturn moving from Aquarius into Pisces will teach us how discipline, commitment and old tried and true structures can help make visions real. We will also learn just how unnecessary and constrictive some of these things are and release them because they just simply get in the way.

With Saturn in Pisces for the next three years we are gaining a license to create freely, dream big and inspire deeply. The rules and structures we’ve learned to thrive within are more relative than ever. We can opt to utilize them to enhance our new boundless experience. So don’t throw everything we’ve learned out the window. Instead use the structures that work for you to flow without losing focus.

The best artists understand how to navigate the delicate balance between the need to enforce the rules and when to break them. We are going to spend the next three years learning exactly where that sweet spot is for ourselves individually and collectively out in the world. We will discover how to trust our own intuition allowing it to guide us. Through this experience we will become better healers, innovators, dreamers and altruists in all aspects of our lives.
