Mercury Retrograde & Eclipse Season

With shadow phase of Mercury Retrograde already underway we groggily begin preparations for Eclipse Season. With time passing so swiftly right now this extra layer of fogginess upon us as we approach Mercury Retrograde beginning April 21st feels like a lot already. This transit starts just days after the hybrid New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries on April 19th opening up an incredibly intense Eclipse Season which will close May 5th with a potent Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio.

The next 30 days is sure to feel fast and probably even a bit furious. Depending on your chart you may already be starting to experience this. Eclipses bring unexpected sudden change into our lives which is nonnegotiable. They initiate key situations that lead to pivotal transformation that redirects us towards our true purpose. They can bring people in and they can take people out of our lives. Looking back these events will be utterly integral to who we are to become.

We will be starting new things at this Solar Eclipse before closing out older things that we will soon realize we must let go of by the Lunar Eclipse a few weeks later. So it may be initially confusing and abrupt but the way this is set up is not by accident. Such unexpected things are on the horizon that we could not possibly have prepared for them in advance.

Mercury is going to be retrograding in Taurus during this time allowing us several weeks to go back over things once we begin to receive messages from these Eclipses. Working with this powerful Earth energy through the enlightenment of Mercury’s reverse cycle will offer us a crucial opportunity to really ground ourselves and prepare to make solid choices amidst the chaos if we allow it. This will be an especially internal time over this period of several weeks. Make the time to intentionally slow down in order to absorb and process what’s coming. Do not blink and miss this extraordinarily powerful time!
