This evening we have our first New Moon Solar Eclipse of the year in 29 degrees of Aries at 11:13 pm CT. Bringing on a double dose of fire this is also the second New Moon in Aries for this year which is a rare occurrence in and of itself. This is also a highly unique event because it is a hybrid eclipse which means it is annular in some parts of the world and total in others depending on their location to the moon. These types of eclipses are extremely rare with only 3.1% of solar eclipses in the 21st century being hybrid eclipses.
Conjunct Jupiter and Chiron in Aries and square Pluto newly in Aquarius this eclipse is extremely powerful. Many have already begun to feel its effects within their lives depending on how it impacts their natal chart. Those who haven’t felt it yet may still over the next few weeks or even months as it’s true impact unfolds. As with any transit everyone is affected but some will be more-so than others based on their own natal planetary alignments. Eclipses are all about moving forward and this one is packed with cardinal energy that is bringing huge changes to our world.
This is an intense time of karmic reckoning. We are now experiencing the results of choices we have made. All we have put out into the world both good and bad is returning to us. We may experience unexpected positive events or gifts, signs and messages or upheaval that ultimately becomes pivotal to our lives. Solar eclipses in particular often create new beginnings and opportunities. We can be certain that no matter how it appears right now whatever is occurring during this time is here to direct us towards our souls purpose.
