Full Moon in Capricorn: what Does it Take to Be a GOAT

Capricorn is back! We have been taken backwards again with Pluto retrograde through the end of this year. He has unfinished business to wrap up especially with the structures that need reconstructing. This Full Moon will connect with the “Lord of the Underworld” and square the Nodes of Fate the very next day.

Lately we have been on one hell of a climb and Capricorn represents this. So many of us feel we’ve been pushed beyond our max. Others feel stuck in limbo. Personally I feel like I’ve been cranked through a meat grinder. At some point this year we thought for sure we had finally reached the top of the mountain and have been disappointed to find we in fact had not.

Remember that goat we talked about earlier this year? No matter how difficult the path that goat can always find the way forward to the top. He doesn’t concern himself with the many distractions that come along, or the rock that was stumbled over, or those stones that were thrown. He just keeps moving forward slowly, diligently one step at a time.

What I think we forgot is that when he finally gets to the top he doesn’t stop there. He just continues on to the next climb. Goats cannot tolerate lower altitudes due to climate much like how we as visionaries struggle in lower vibrational environments. Perhaps this is why we must continue to climb also.

Coincidentally in sports they call the “ Greatest of All Time” the GOAT. There’s always a lot of debate about who makes that list. One thing is clear everyone who is a candidate has a lot in common with the characteristics of Capricorn and its mystical symbol, the Sea Goat.

What do you think made them the greatest? Was it luck? Good genes? Good Timing? Magic? Hard work? Money? Connections? Would any of those things even matter if the GOAT hadn’t put themselves out there, persisted beyond all obstacles and kept climbing no matter what they were up against? I wonder how Capricorn and Saturn, Capricorn’s ruler, played a part in these incredible soul’s charts?

We all have Capricorn and that energy of a goat somewhere in our own charts. Now is the time to dig in after that second, third, fourth or hundredth wind. This Full Moon is shining its light onto the path to inspire you forward even if you feel like you cannot possibly take one more step. It also happens to be trining Jupiter, “The Great Benific,” bringing with it a little bit of optimism and abundance to help us out of our slump.

As far as 2023 goes, we are only at half time. So remember who you are, take a breather, drink some water and dig down deep for the GOAT that lies within you. Get out there and pursue whatever that dream is that you’ve been called here to do. Many of us aren’t here for a title but we definitely have a purpose and it’s that purpose that keeps us ever climbing.

*There’s a fun correlating article written for WSN online I found while doing some research entitled “GOATs of the Sporting World and Their Real Life Equivalents” by Mike Lukas. In it he says, “How can you compare Greatest of All Time players to real goats? Just like individual players, goats have unique characteristics that help them succeed…” Sound familiar? He lists Tom Brady as the football GOAT and explains that the “Actual goat most like Brady: Mountain Goat – capable of climbing impossible-to-scale heights even as it ages past its prime.” For Basketball he lists Micheal Jordan, who’s my ultimate pick and states, “Actual goat most like Jordan: Ibex Mountain Goat – like Jordan in his prime, capable of jumping 6 feet straight into the air.” If you happen to know the backstory on how hard that man had to work to get his start in basketball you know he is 100% a GOAT. While studying his, along with the other title holders, charts I did find some very interesting similarities.
