Full Moon in Aries: Prelude of Change

Writer: Scarlet Fire AstrologyScarlet Fire Astrology

Early this morning we will experience a Full Moon in Aries which kicks off Eclipse Season. We will now be preparing for the upcoming October Eclipses. Aries is the leader, the warrior and the intuitive of the Universe. Full of passion, determination and drive this Moon is arming us with the necessary energy to persevere through what lies ahead.

Additionally four planets have aligned in a trapeze formation in the sky. Coincidentally the art of flying trapeze parallels nicely with the Aries/Libra polarity. Flying the trapeze requires at least two people. To accomplish this amazing fete requires a “flyer” and a “catcher.” Just as Aries and Libra represent the delicate balance of “self” and “the other” flying the trapeze is all about individual stability and harmony of unison.

What is most interesting is that a certain amount of tension is required for gravity to be engaged and equilibrium to be established between the two trapeze partners. The Moon in Aries symbolizes the “flyer” and the Sun in Libra represents the “catcher” as they are centered between the planets that have formed the trapeze aspect pattern in the sky. Venus in Leo squaring Uranus in Taurus parallel to the South Node in Libra squaring Pluto in Capricorn mimic the trapeze wires. Venus sextile to the South Node is the fly bar and Uranus trine Pluto complete the formation in the roof position.

Just as these dynamic aerialists are the center of our attention and the trapeze itself provides the support necessary to propel their bodies through the air the planets have aligned to offer us the same. The next several weeks we may feel like we are forty feet in the air propelling ourselves into the darkness. Aries courage and confidence is exactly what we need right now to persevere. The tension created between Venus and Uranus on one end and the South Node and Pluto on the other is bringing our awareness to what is causing tension within our lives. This is to remind us that just as the trapezist must eventually let go of the bar in order to fly we must also let go of something in order to do the same.

Through unexpected opportunities we are being presented with chances to pursue our desires and revolutionize our current situation. In order to take advantage of these we must confront things from the past that must be destroyed because they hold us back from transformation. This brave Moon is a harbinger of the North Node in Aries. Whatever is highlighted upon this lunation holds clues to the inner work we need to be doing and what old negative relational patterns we need to release for our soul to grow.
